Built and rebuilt between the 13th and 20th century, the cathedral contains numerous sarcophaguses, notably Merovingian, discovered under the nave in 1973. The vaulting in the chancel and the apses feature extremely rich decoration and designs dating from the time of the 1920s and 1930s.
