Constructed by Sophie Taeuber in the classic, plain style influenced by the Bauhaus, it was here that the couple, Jean Arp (1886-1966) and Sophie Taeuber (1889-1943), both artists, lived and created a large part of their work. A significant sample of their creative work is to be found at Clamart: stone, bronze and wood sculptures, reliefs and collages by Jean Arp together with a few pieces by Sophie Taeuber. For a better appreciation of the work, visitors are allowed to touch the sculptures (wearing gloves).
