Bibliothèque Paul Marmottan
Bibliothèque Paul Marmottan 7 place Denfert-Rochereau 92100 BOULOGNE-BILLANCOURT
Paul Marmottan Library
The historian and collector of the Napoleonic Age, Paul Marmottan, set up his library in Boulogne in the early XXth century. It was bequeathed to the Institut de France’s Academy of Fine-Arts and now, together with the house that is now the museum, forms the Fondation Marmottan. It is, at one and the same time, a private house, a place of work in which one senses the atmosphere of the Imperial Age, and also a gallery and museum, and has a unique collection of several thousand prints, paintings, items of Empire-style furniture and publications from 1811 from all over Imperial Europe
